My personal favorites at Silver Diner are the Carolina Shrimp Quesadilla and the Warm Roasted Local Veggie Salad. The flavors are fresh and vibrant, and the dishes are always satisfying. I highly recommend giving Silver Diner a try for your next meal out!
We had a wonderful experience! The food was delicious, fresh and high quality! Erich, our server was wonderful and very knowledgeable on the menu and different vegetarian items to try! We sat in a cozy booth and enjoyed our brunch date! We will definitely be coming back!
Food is always amazing different menu each season and its great to try different food items. Services depending on the day can be quick or others you wait but not much. Summer outdoors is always great with view
I took some friends visiting from Miami to enjoy a delicious breakfast at Silver Diner in Alexandria 4630 King St, Unit A3. Karen the Manager and the crew did a really good job by offering suggestions to eat and ready to serve when we need it. The ambiance and cleaning of the restaurant was A+... I will come back and invite more family and friends. Kudos for the Alexandria branch. Rebo
This small chain in general has done a complete 180 since I came to DC in 2021. Yeah it's a bit pricier now but the move to local suppliers, some organic options, and a solid variety of just about anything you want (without 20 pages of menus) has been a big hit. The Alexandria location is very well run, with a super friendly and chill crew, from all over. A "great American diner" story, if that makes sense. Never a bad dish or time there.
My Family and I stopped at Silver Diner after dropping My Husband off at the airport for a bite to eat. Our Waitress Tiffany was great! She made sure she came and checked on us and she was overall a wonderful hostess to us and we appreciate that. Our food was good but not hot as it should have been. We all ordered pancakes and it was 5 of us. I think they must've waited until all of our parties food was done before they brought the food out. That was a disappointment to us. Please as a suggestion if food is ready just bring it out as soon as possible. Consuming lukewarm eggs and dry pancakes were not we were looking for The Food was good though. Just not hot enough.
This is not a diner. This is an upscale restaurant with some diner food options but also some fun, upscale menu options. The service is good but I have to say, a little excessive. Someone was coming up to our table every 10 minutes. "We are fine!" Please let us enjoy our meal. The place is clean and fun. It has a diner vibe but with a regular restaurant atmosphere.
We had a meeting to discuss business over lunch at the dinner. Danny our server was great. He told us he was Tato Danny. Bob
Looks like our evening took an unexpected turn from ramen dreams to diner delights! Who knew that a closed door at the neighboring ramen joint would lead us straight to the welcoming arms of Silver Diner? We settled into the spacious and inviting atmosphere, making a beeline for the bar where the real magic happened. Connie, our bartender/server extraordinaire, was an absolute gem. With a smile brighter than my freshly painted nails, she made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Now, onto the star of the show: the happy hour menu. Let me tell you, it was a culinary carnival! The old bay shrimp danced on our taste buds with their perfect seasoning and crispy fry. And those crab cake sliders? They're so good, they should come with a warning label--'cause once you taste them, you'll never want to share! But wait, there's more! The wings were fried to crispy perfection, and the drink selection had us feeling like kids in a candy store. Whoever thought up this happy hour deserves a medal. In short, we came for happy hour and left with hearts full of gratitude for Connie's hospitality and bellies full of deliciousness. So here's to closed ramen places and the silver linings they bring--Silver Diner, you've earned a spot in our hearts (and our dining rotation)! Cheers to Connie, good food, and unexpected adventures!
A very modern and clean design of the restaurant! Plenty of seating inside and there's a free retail garage that's easy to access as well. We were sat right away (we were here around 9:15 on a Saturday morning). Sylvia was super friendly and attentive. I ordered a coffee and the Watermelon Cucumber Spritz Deluxe Mimosa and my husband ordered the BrewChata. Both were really good! For our breakfast, I ordered the Burrata Shakshuka, my husband ordered the Oat Milk Protein Pancakes and we split the Apple Pie Stuffed French Toast. The shakshuka was delicious and loved the Naan that came with it. I don't they personally give you enough Naan so I ordered more which costs additional but it was all delicious. Loved the protein pancakes too. Usually I'm not the biggest fan of protein carbs but these were flavor packed and so good. The French Toast was good as well but I wouldn't called them stuffed French Toast, just some apple pie filling on the top but they were still good. Love Silver Diner in general but this has easily been my favorite location. I will definitely be going back to try other items on their menu!
